Ramsey Farms

Ramsey Farms is dedicated to producing the highest quality full blood and percentage Boer goats. We focus on raising healthy, hardy stock that will excel and reach their full potential – whether in the show ring, to improve the Boer genetics, or to provide a quality product for the marketplace.

Our farm properties are located in Nicholson and Commerce, Georgia on a total of more than 60 acres. Our acreages are fenced and cross fenced to allow for proper rotation of pastures. Besides having access to year-round good pastures, our goats are supplemented by a high quality grain, mineral, and hay diet with constant access to clean, fresh water.

We have barns for our herds and they are protected by excellent guard dogs. The barns are cleaned weekly and disinfected periodically to maintain sanitary conditions for our animals. We are kind to our goats and they, in turn, reward us by being easy to manage and spending their time growing big and strong.

We believe that since we have been given dominion over our animals that we have the responsibility to give them the best care while they serve their purpose in life. We assess the health of our bucks, does, and kids regularly. Our kids receive a coccidiosis preventative at one month of age and a series of vaccinations at two months of age. We keep bucks separate from does except for breeding, and we give our does plenty of time to recover from birthing and weaning. We adhere to a regular hoof trimming program. We conduct regular fecal checks and worm when necessary. All of our goats receive annual CD/T and pneumonia vaccinations.
